Footsteps in Northumberland

About Footsteps in Northumberland

I am a qualified walking guide offering great walks and adventures on foot in Northumberland and over the Border in south east Scotland. In 2021, I will have have been running Footsteps in Northumberland for 10-years and in that time I have led hundreds of guided walks for hundreds of people from Hadrian's Wall to the Scottish Borders. I have a great love for the wildlife, history and culture of this corner of North East England. I will share stories, spot and identify the wildlife and give you the time to stand and stare as we wander through this remarkable landscape. Our walks explore the fabulous Northumberland Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and rightly famous for its beaches, rocky foreshores, castles and its remarkable history. The wild and remote Cheviot Hills in Northumberland National Park are a firm favourite and we also visit corners of this rural county rarely seen by visitors, but all are well worth exploring.
